Method
- Bring all ingredients to room temperature.

- In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded Cheddar cheese, and dressing mix. Mix until smooth and evenly blended.
- Shape the mixture into one large ball or divide it into two smaller balls, using your hands or a spatula.

- Spread the chopped pecans on a plate and gently roll the cheese ball(s) until completely coated.

- Press pecan halves decoratively onto the top.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight, until firm and well set.
