Ingredients
  

  • 2 8 ounce packages cream cheese, softened
  • 3 ½ cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 1 ounce package Ranch-style dressing mix
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 4 pecan halves

Method
 

  1. Bring all ingredients to room temperature.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded Cheddar cheese, and dressing mix. Mix until smooth and evenly blended.
  3. Shape the mixture into one large ball or divide it into two smaller balls, using your hands or a spatula.
  4. Spread the chopped pecans on a plate and gently roll the cheese ball(s) until completely coated.
  5. Press pecan halves decoratively onto the top.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight, until firm and well set.
