- Finely dice the cabbage, carrot, and onion. You can shred them first in a food processor, then chop smaller for a soft texture.
- In a bowl, add sugar, salt, black pepper, mayonnaise, milk, buttermilk, vinegar, and lemon juice.
- Whisk until the dressing is smooth and slightly runny, not thick.
- Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and mix well until evenly coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours so the flavors blend and mellow.
- Stir once before serving and enjoy chilled.
