  • Scrambled eggs with a splash of milk
  • Bacon
For the Fruit and Toppings
  • Strawberries sliced into hearts 12–15 large berries
  • Raspberries 1.5 cups
  • Blueberries 1.5 cups
  • Chocolate chips 1 cup
Sprinkles
  • Chocolate hazelnut spread
  • Whipped cream
  • Maple syrup warmed 1 cup
  • Mini marshmallows

Equipment

  • Large serving board or platter
  • Baking sheet
  • Skillet or frying pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or fork
  • Small bowls (for toppings and spreads)
  • Knife and cutting board

Method
 

  1. Wash and dry all berries thoroughly. Slice strawberries into heart shapes if desired and set fruit aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 200°F to keep food warm. Bake bacon at 400°F for 15–20 minutes until crispy.
  3. Toast waffles according to package directions and place them with the bacon in the warm oven.
  4. Whisk eggs with a splash of milk. Cook in a buttered skillet over medium heat, stirring gently, until soft and fluffy.
  5. Warm the maple syrup slightly. Spoon whipped cream, chocolate spread, chips, sprinkles, and marshmallows into small bowls.
  6. Arrange waffles, bacon, and eggs on a large board. Fill in with fruit and toppings, grouping colors and textures nicely.
  7. Finish with heart-shaped strawberries and serve immediately.
