Make Simple Syrup
In a saucepan, heat the sugar and 1 cup of water, stirring until fully dissolved.
Syrup Tip
Stir until the mixture is clear, not grainy. Let it cool slightly before using.
Juice the Lemons
Squeeze the lemons to get about 1½ cups of fresh juice.
Strain Seeds
Strain out seeds, keeping the pulp if you prefer extra texture.
Combine Water & Juice
In a large pitcher, mix the lemon juice with the cold water.
Add Syrup Gradually
Pour in the simple syrup slowly, tasting as you go.
Taste Check
If too tart, add more syrup. If too sweet, add more lemon juice or water.
Add Ice
Fill the pitcher or glasses with plenty of ice.
Stir Well
Stir thoroughly to ensure everything is well combined.
Serve Cold
Serve immediately while chilled.
