Prep the Egg
In a small bowl, whisk the egg with 1 teaspoon of sesame oil until well combined. Set aside.
Cook the Chicken
Heat oil in a wok over high heat. Season the chicken with salt and white pepper, then stir-fry until fully cooked. Remove from the wok and set aside.
Cook the Veggies
Add the remaining oil to the wok. Stir-fry the vegetables until tender, then add the minced garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
Scramble the Egg
Push the vegetables to one side of the wok. Pour the egg mixture into the center and scramble until fully cooked.
Add Butter and Rice
Add the butter and let it melt. Then add the cooked rice and chicken, tossing everything together until well combined.
Finish with Sauce
Drizzle in the tamari or soy sauce, toss thoroughly to coat, and serve hot.
